Update ID Attendance Scanner

Two paths. Most teachers only need Path 1.

Path 1 — Normal update (preferred)

License usually stays. You should not need to paste your key again.

1. Download the easy updater (button above) — not a full versioned zip.
2. Optional: open UPDATE.html in the unzipped folder for picture-simple steps.
3. Double-click CLICK HERE TO UPDATE.
   Mac: 00-CLICK HERE TO UPDATE (Mac).command
   Windows: 00-CLICK HERE TO UPDATE (PC).bat
4. A folder picker always opens. Pick the folder under chrome://extensions → Details → Loaded from. Wrong folder = refused.
5. Click Reload once on chrome://extensions.
6. Done.

Do this: Reload.
Don’t: Remove.

Path 2 — License breaks / “already used” / full reinstall

1. Open Settings → Your license.
2. Copy your license key (write it down or paste into Notes).
3. Click Release this computer → confirm.
4. Then do Path 1. Or if you already removed the extension: install the new folder once.
5. Open Settings → paste key → Activate license.
6. Done. John does not need to reset seats.

Don’t

• Don’t click Remove (unless Path 2 already told you to reinstall)
• Don’t pick a different folder than the one under Loaded from
